Summary of the Furrin Group Points System



PURPOSE

The purpose of our points system is to foster competition and stimulate interestparticipation in events and activities. The points will be accumulated in four categories and tabulated for year-end awards. The categories are: Activity, Speed/Ice, Rally and Overall.


HOW TO EARN POINTS

Non-Competitive

1. Procuring any paid ad, new or renewed for HDJ (100 points max.)………………25 pts. each

2. Furnish the entertainment at a meeting (50 points max.)………………………….25 pts. each

3. Work a Furrin Group speed or ice event……………………………………….…20 pts./day

4. Work a Furrin Group rally………………………………...………………………40 pts./day

5. Attend a Furrin Group Meeting or Social Event…………………………………..10 pts. each

6. Obtain a new member (200 points max.)………………………………………….25 pts. each

7. Article or artwork published in HDJ (100 points max.)…………………………...10 pts. each

(original or reprinted, not to include official Officer reports, i.e. treasurer, secretary, etc. but not event reports)

8. Be a Chairperson or Rallymaster of an event……………………………………...See Regulation #3 below


Competitive

1. Enter a Furrin Group event………………………………………….…..……….…20 pts./event

REGULATIONS

Year-end point totals for Speed/Ice and Rally year-end awards are based on the following:


  1. A competitor must work or chair at least one event in that category to receive any points in that category.

  2. Points may be claimed for outside events (i.e. SCCA, Porsche Club, etc…), but may not exceed the number of Furrin Group events run in that category, in that year. Only positional points will be awarded and will be placed under the Activity category.

  3. Chairperson points will be awarded as follows to the Activity category:

100 points for first event chaired in any category – if event is co-chaired points are divided equally

50 points for second event chaired in any category – if event is co-chaired points are divided equally

Worker points for any additional events chaired in any category

  1. Any eEntrants in a Furrin Group Rally events may not receive worker points for assisting in registration, timing & scoring, etc. Worker points may be awarded for assisting in Speed and Ice events.

  2. Only one entry per person per class per event is eligible for points. (Ex. Entrant could get points in two different speed classes, in the same event).

  3. You may win only one category (Speed/Ice, Rally, Activity or Overall) trophy per year.

  4. In the event of a tie in a category, multiple trophies will be awarded in that category.
