I drove Sam C's GS SE-R and didn't like it. It seemed very heavy and geared too tall. It wouldn't rotate for anything. After running my 325i around yesterday, I am thinking of an ST Saturn, depending on how the category shakes out. |
In stock trim is feels heavy, although its actually a pretty light. Mine has just about every option available (including a sunroof & sub) and still weighs in well under 3k even with me behind the wheel. A rear sway bar REALLY helps it to rotate but, of course, takes you out of stock classing. As for the gearing, I think its actually too short. Redline in 2nd is in the mid/high 50's. On a lot of courses, which seem to be set up for a 60-65 mph max speed, I'm running out of gear in places where an upshift to third and downshift back to 2nd is impractical. I wish the gearing was actually little taller, as it has plenty of torque. Its not perfect, but it is fun!
