May 14/15 2011 Autocross ABC Auto Auction
Modified By finky on 4/25/2011 9:32:33 PM)

I am looking foward to getting out again.  I will be driving an untested car I am fixing up.  It is a '98 Jetta GT that has been beat and I bought from someone for cheap.

Who else is on here getting something ready for the autocross season?

I'll probably be out on Saturday with my SE-R.  Not really "getting it ready" as its my DD and I pretty much drive it as is.  Really looking forward to the season though.

BTW, in the interest of learning a little something, I'm looking for a fast, more experienced FWD driver to co-drive sometime this season.  Interested?

Well, I am getting the 325i ready for D Stock, but you probably already knew that. Hey does anyone have a 46 mm or 1-13/16" socket I could borrow?

From what I have read about the SE-R it is a very neutrally handling car. It does not have the push that a lot of other fwds have. I have never driven a fwd with an lsd (unless the ms3 has one). I would be more than happy to ride with you and give you some general tips (I always like to drive other people's cars... thanks for the offer). I will try to catch up with you at an event.

Stock it was fairly neutral.  As it sits right now, it may actually tend a little bit towards oversteer (its about 1/2 way STX prepped).  FWD + LSD + a little oversteer = fun.  I've been autocrossing for about 2 years now and have learned a lot, but still feel like I'm leaving something on the table.  I'd love to get a second opinion, so either a co-drive or ride along would help a lot.  I usually end up making about 50% of the FG events, so hopefully we can figure something out.
